CHPL Bi-Annual Attestation: Wash, Rinse, Repeat
Just like your daily routine, some tasks in the Health IT world come around again and again. As we roll into another season of attestations, it's time to check key certification maintenance requirements to keep your EHR squeaky clean. Here’s what’s coming up shortly:
CHPL Bi-Annual Attestation – Due April 30, 2025
Starting April 1, 2025, the submission window opens for Health IT developers to complete their bi-annual attestation via the Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL). Certified developers must attest through their ONC-Authorized Certification Bodies (ONC-ACBs) before the deadline on April 30, 2025. This attestation is crucial for confirming ongoing compliance with certification requirements.
If you are using MeldRx or MyMipsScore, we will cover the attestations related to ONC-certified MeldRx and MyMipsScore modules. However, you’ll still need to complete the attestation for the modules checked on your CHPL listing.
For questions about attestation requirements or CHPL registration, reach out to your ONC-ACB. You can also reference these official ONC guides:
2. Quarterly EHR Update Attestation – Ongoing
On a more frequent cycle, the quarterly EHR update attestation ensures transparency regarding any modifications, complaints, or nonconformities related to certified products. At the end of each quarter, your ONC-ACB will send out an attestation report template with instructions and a submission deadline.
EHRs and modular Health IT developers must complete and submit these reports via their ONC-ACB’s preferred method to help track updates and maintain compliance with ONC Certification Program requirements.
If you are using MeldRx or MyMipsScore, we will cover the attestations related to ONC-certified MeldRx and MyMipsScore modules. But, you’ll still need to complete the attestation for the modules checked on your CHPL listing.
3. Beyond Attestation: Key Compliance Areas to Watch
