ONC (g)(10) FHIR API Conformance Update: App Registration
The ONC recently shared updates clarifying the app registration requirements for health IT developers certified to § 170.315(g)(10). As part of these updates, Certified API developers must:
Provide a clear and documented app registration process for both single-patient and multi-patient (Bulk Data) FHIR API access.
Publicly publish and maintain up-to-date API documentation, including the technical details of the app registration process and terms and conditions.
Optionally verify the authenticity of API users within ten business days and register their applications for production use within five business days after verification.
